COSCO Haineng issued an announcement a few days ago that the company, as the buyer, signed a shipbuilding contract with Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd. and China Shipbuilding International Trading Co., Ltd. as a joint seller on December 15. It is agreed that Guangzhou Shipyard International will construct two 64,900 deadweight tons for the listed company. Crude oil ships, two 109,900 DWT product oil/container combined-use vessels and three 114,000 DWT crude oil vessels. The total price of the seven ships is approximately RMB 2.14 billion.

The company stated that the new tanker can optimize the company's oil tanker fleet structure and enhance the overall competitiveness of the fleet. According to the company's internal measurement, the new shipbuilding project has a certain ability to resist risks and is economically and technically feasible.

The company announced on the same day that the company's non-public issuance of A shares was approved by the SASAC. According to the company's previously announced non-public issuance of A shares, the company plans to raise 5.4 billion yuan, of which COSCO Shipping Group, an indirect controlling shareholder of the company, promises to subscribe for shares in cash. The total amount of subscription funds does not exceed RMB 4.2 billion, and the proceeds after deducting issuance costs. The net funds will be mainly used to purchase 14 new tankers and purchase 2 Panamax tankers.

It is understood that COSCO Haineng is a specialized company engaged in the transportation of energy products such as oil and natural gas under the China Ocean Shipping Group. On the evening of November 20, COSCO Haineng announced that the company signed a ship construction contract with Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. It was agreed that Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. would build 4 319,000 dwt VLCC tankers and 3 158,000 dwt for COSCO Haineng. Suez type tankers, the total price of seven ships is about 3.67 billion yuan.
