Starting from September 1, the National Customs will launch a special 3-month IPR protection initiative for intellectual property rights protection companies, code-named "Operation Long Teng."

It is reported that this time, the National Customs will focus on exporting to Africa, Middle East, Latin America and other countries and regions; major traditional products such as small household appliances, mobile electronic products, construction machinery, daily necessities, holiday products, and specialty products. Focus on the implementation of special law enforcement to assist enterprises in their rights protection.

Therefore, everyone must pay attention to the intellectual property rights of the product and avoid infringement. Customs declarations must be accurate and compliant. At the same time, foreign traders who produce the above-mentioned goods have noticed that these products may be focused on in the near future and the inspection rate may increase.

Customs Sword, strike product infringement!

It is reported that during the operation, the customs will comprehensively review the import and export data of key enterprises of the “Long Teng” operation, combine with the intelligence information provided by the company, extract and summarize risk factors, strengthen risk assessment and control, and coordinate collaboration, and infringe on “Long Teng” actions. The behavior of intellectual property rights in key enterprises has increased punishment.

According to preliminary statistics, as of June 30 this year, 6,721 infringing goods have been seized by customs across the country in the import and export links, involving 24.74 million items worth of goods worth RMB 80.98 million; 3,742 applications for the approval of IPR customs protection, involving 1,426 Right holder.

Customs operations at various ports throughout the country

It is reported that this time the "Long Teng" action, the National Customs will participate. At present, a number of port customs including Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Qingdao, and Guangzhou have initiated responses.

Ningbo Customs will establish a liaison officer system for key enterprises, designate special personnel to be in charge of contact, and help companies coordinate port customs and relevant intellectual property law enforcement agencies to implement anti-counterfeiting and anti-counterfeiting actions.

Since 2013, Ningbo Customs has seized 1,874 cases of IPR infringement in the import and export links, with a total value of approximately 276 million yuan, and seized approximately 68.953 million infringing goods. Among them, 346 cases involving suspected infringement of independent intellectual property rights were investigated, with a value of RMB 895.39 million, and 18.83 million infringing goods of various types were seized, accounting for 18.5% of the total number of seized cases.

In the first half of this year, Shanghai Customs seized 17 cases of infringement of domestic intellectual property rights, involved 10 million cases of goods, and had a case value of RMB 6.6 million, which was 18% of the total number of IP cases filed by Shanghai Customs. , 63%, 43%. There are four companies that have entered the list of key companies in the "Long Teng" operation, covering machinery, high-tech, textiles and other industries.

At the same time, the Shanghai Customs stated that the “Long Teng” action, while strictly fighting infringement, will also insist on doing a good job in the service of exporting IPR-friendly enterprises and helping enterprises to improve their rights protection.

Qingdao Customs will strengthen customs protection of intellectual property rights, guide key enterprises in the jurisdiction to conduct IPR customs filing, make full use of big data to conduct risk analysis, improve accuracy of strikes, and strengthen monitoring and infringement efforts in import and export links.

Shenzhen Customs, after a thorough investigation and investigation, selected 10 Shenzhen independent intellectual property companies such as Huawei, ZTE, and Dajiang to participate in the “Long Teng” action in the Shenzhen Customs District. Since the beginning of this year, Shenzhen Customs has seized over 9.23 million infringing goods worth RMB 44.7 million.

Guangzhou Customs, currently a total of 13 companies were selected as "Long Teng" action key enterprise list. According to statistics, from January to July this year, Guangzhou Customs seized a total of 404 infringement cases in the import and export links, involving a total of 1.05 million pieces of goods with a total value of 7.31 million yuan.
